Here to help

If you or someone you know has a question, needs advice, is facing difficulties or needs some support, RHEA are here to help.

RHEA's doors are open between 10am and 1pm, Monday to Friday if you would like to the call in to discuss something in complete confidence.

Can't get to the RHEA office? No problem. One of the RHEA team will happily make an appointment to see you at home at a time suitable to you. As you would expect all RHEA staff have been police checked.

A lot of work is done around dementia; supporting people who have it and their carers, raising awareness, providing assistance and helping people access the activities and services available to them.

At some activities and events, staff and volunteers are able to provide physical assistance to people; pushing wheelchairs or being that arm to hold onto so people have full access to what RHEA provides.

Visits are also made right across the area by volunteers of all ages who call in to see RHEA members who might not see many people, once a week, purely on a social basis to catch up and see how each other is.

Winter can be a particularly hard time for people so every year RHEA takes to to the road to offer advice and support about keeping warm and well. There are also good quality, affordable items on sale from November to March such as thermal wear, hats, scarves, gloves etc.

RHEA also works with many other organisations to ensure that they, and you are aware of other services and so that the voice of older people is heard and listened to.
